Randolph Hills will maintain affordability of all 168 units at 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The project will also work with the HAP program to offer vouchers to tenants earning less than 30% AMI. All units are eligible or the HAP vouchers.
Preserving affordable housing in this community is crucial: Randolph Hills is located in a census tract that is designated as low-income and has a 54% poverty rate. Furthermore, Randolph Hills’ census tract is 91% minority and 74% Black. Maintaining the affordability of housing in the community is essential to prevent displacement of the community’s low-income and minority residents.
Each of the project’s six buildings will have a dedicated community coordinator who will work with local organizations to help tenants find after school care. The community coordinators also offer resume reviews, job preparedness coaching and financial literacy assistance for tenants.
